Commissioned Works

This is a commissioned work I did for Ryan and Jen.
As you can see from my works, I lean towards Expressionism. Matisse, one of the Master Expressionists, said, "I don't paint things. I only paint the difference between things." That is much my philosophy as well. At the end of the day, I like to make people happy through my paintings. It is just my way of contributing to the beauty of life, if you will.
If you like my style and want me to paint something for you, email me your request at joe@joepearceart.com
I often work from photos. Just remember, it will not turn out exactly like the photo! If you are local, I would like to see the subject as well, to get a visual impression of it, take some pictures and do some rough sketches.
I like to work on 18"x24" canvases. They are big enough that I can be loose and free and small enough that I can slip them in my canvas carrier and easily get them to the studio and back. For an 18"x 24" painting on canvas panting, the cost is $300. A larger canvas would cost more. Figure 70 cents a square inch.
I will require a $50 down payment for supplies. When I finish, you will owe me the balance. If you don't want the painting when I am finished, I will gladly keep it. Since the downpayment is for supplies, I will keep that too.
Paintings typically take me 4 to 6 weeks to complete, depending on my schedule and workload: Sometimes shorter sometimes much longer.
If you are local, I will deliver your painting or you can pick it up. If not, I will ship and insure it. You will need to buy a frame if you want it framed.
Finally, I will need to list your name, address, and phone number on my collectors list.
Thanks,
Joe Pearce
